Aaron Roepke

Principal

Aaron Roepke is a dedicated attorney serving clients across Washington and Idaho, with a practice centered on estate planning, probate, trust administration, and agriculture law. Raised in rural Colorado, Aaron and his family have made the Palouse their home, enriching the local community with his expertise and commitment.

Aaron offers comprehensive legal guidance in matters relating to wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and farm transition planning, tailoring solutions to meet the unique needs of families, individuals, and enterprises throughout the region.

A recognized leader in his field, Aaron is the former President of the Idaho State Bar Taxation, Probate & Trust Law Section. His contributions to the legal community include service as an appellate judge for the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and as the supervising attorney of the Tribal Estate Planning Internship Program for the Nez Perce Tribes, in partnership with the University of Idaho. Aaron is also a frequent speaker on issues surrounding elder law and Medicaid planning, and served as an taught Wills and Trusts as an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho College of Law.

Aaron is co-author of the widely referenced 2016 article “Medicaid Planning in Idaho” and is regularly invited to present at the Idaho Annual Estate Planning Conference and other professional events. His dedication to education, community engagement, and client service has established him as a trusted advisor and advocate in estate and agricultural law.

 

Cody Moore 

Principal

Cody Moore is an accomplished attorney licensed in both Washington and Idaho, focused on business law, real estate, agriculture law, and select civil litigation. Born in Moscow and raised in Whitman County, Cody has a deep-rooted understanding of the region's business, agricultural, and legal landscape, which he brings to his clients throughout the area.

Cody's practice is comprehensive, regularly providing general counsel services to a diverse array of businesses, non-profit organizations, and agricultural enterprises. He handles all types of matters involving business, agriculture, and real estate, offering guidance on mergers, acquisitions, property sales, leases, entity formation, and farm transition planning. Additionally, Cody has successfully litigated many disputes including easement and boundary issues, business conflicts, contract and employment issues, and other select civil litigation.

Cody has taught Negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution as an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho College of Law. He is also deeply involved in local legal and community organizations, serving as He the Vice President of the Idaho Second District Bar Association and as a member of the Second District Magistrate Committee. He has also served as a member of the Gritman Medical Center Finance Committee and Community Board, President of the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center, and President of the Ray McNichols Chapter of the American Inns of Court.

Before entering legal practice, Cody managed media relations for the nation's premier food safety law firm and directed a non-profit dedicated to home rehabilitation for seniors, veterans, and families in need. His multifaceted background and unwavering commitment to his community continue to establish him as a trusted advisor and advocate.

 

Zachary Cooper

Associate 

Raised in Walla Walla, Washington, Zac Cooper developed a deep appreciation for the Palouse while attending Washington State University and later the University of Idaho College of Law. Zac is proud to serve the community that inspired his legal career.

Zac's practice at Westberg Roepke Moore focuses on Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Business Formation. His commitment to public service was evident early on, spending his law school summers volunteering for the ACLU and interning for a Washington district court judge.

Before joining the legal profession, Zac worked for nearly a decade in the agricultural industry at a farmer's grain cooperative, giving him a strong foundation in both business operations and the unique needs of the region's families and enterprises.

Zac is dedicated to providing knowledgeable and compassionate legal support to clients in Moscow and throughout the Palouse.

 

James Westberg

Retired

Jim Westberg is a life-long resident of the Palouse and after having served as a respected attorney in Latah County and Whitman County for over 40 years he retired in 2021. His practice focused on Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Real Estate transactions, and Business Formation.
